Jacqueline Lyman Baker

Jacqueline L. Bake departed this earth for her heavenly home on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was born on October 26, 1945 too L.C. Lyman, Sr. and Jimmie Lee (Watkins) Lyman in Mobile, AL. She attended Blount High School before transferring to Cedar Grove Academy in Prichard, AL where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education School in Fort Gaines, GA where she taught for 29 years before retiring in 1998.

Jacqueline L. Baker married the love of her life, Elijah Baker on July 25, 1987 in Abbeville, AL. They made an addition to their family of two when they took on the guardianship of their great~niece Jertavia Luman. Jackie truly lived life to the fullest through the simplest pleasures. She was very active in her community with the Girl Scouts of America (Troop 446) where she served as troop leader for 11 years. She was also a member of Alpha Pi Chi National Sorority, Inc. and involved herself in many community arts and craft activities as well.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband: Elijah Baker; her great-niece "daughter": Jertavia Lyman; her sister: Francis Diamond; and brothers: L.C. (Sidra) Lyman, Jr. Douglas Lyman, and Herlin Williams all of Mobile; her brother-in-laws: Jesse Albert (Kathy) Baker of  Irvington, NJ, and Horace (Mary Louise) Rudd of Sparta, Ga; her special niece: Erica (Gregory) Stewart and nephew Lavris "Gerald" Lyman as well as a host if other nieces and nephews; her god-daughters: Scharona (Roy) Dawkins and Melody Jenkins; her "girls" Bianaca Culver, Kaleena Craddock, Brina Baker and many beloved family member and friends.
