Mr. Jack Freeman, son of the late Eddie Lee Freeman and Ada Pittman Freeman surprisingly came into this world on March 2, 1949 20 minutes after his twin sister. No one but God knew twins were hiding and playing in his mother’s womb.
He attended Ashford Colored School and Essie R. Grimsley where he played football and graduated with the class of 1969. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mount Carmel Baptist Church where he was a dedicated member. At Mount Carmel, he served faithfully as an usher.
Jack worked 40 years at West Tex Industries in Ashford, AL where he was the floor manager. He loved to watch football, watch cowboy movies, Law & Order, going to church, and most of all he loved spending time with his family and his classmates, class of 1969. His spirit and smile will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
He quietly departed this life on Thursday October 18, 2018 at Flowers Hospital, in Dothan, AL.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his twin sister: Mary (Fred) Stewart of Dothan, AL; his nephew: Yuri (Keianna) Stewart of Lithonia, GA; his nieces: Shondra Stewart of Hoover, AL, Zsa Zsa Brown of Covington TN, Carolyn Duncan of Lithonia, GA; his great niece and nephews: Kallie Grace Stewart, Christian Peterson, and Kameron Dawsey; aunts: Mary Francis Snell and Willie Mae Pittman both of Dothan, AL; his god-mother Addie Granger of Ashford AL; devoted family a host of devoted cousins and friends.
