Mrs. Frances Pierson Brinkley was born to Mr. and Mrs. Grover Pierson, Sr., and Essie L. Threat Pierson on May 17, 1947, in Dothan, Alabama.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a life long member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, of Dothan, Alabama.
After graduating from George Washington Carver High School, Dothan, Alabama, in 1965, she attended Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama.
She was employed at Globe Motors for over thirty (30) years. She loved her job and gained many friends and associates at her work place over the years. She fell ill at work and suffered an injury that caused her be disabled. She spent most of her remaining years at the Wesley Place Rehabilitation Center, Dothan, Alabama.
She had a great appreciation for most sports-- baseball and basketball, but she loved the Alabama Football Team.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Grover Pierson, Sr., Mother Essie L. Threat Pierson, Son Bernard Brinkley and Brothers Emory L. Davenport, and Robert E. Pierson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Two grand-daughters, Brittany and Carmila Brinkley, Daughter-law Precilla Brinkley of Dothan; Sisters, Deloris Glover, (William) Davenport, IA., Cathy Pierson, Brother, Grover Pierson, Jr., (Barbara), Dothan, Nieces, Gloretta Davenport, of Whiteplains, Maryland, Kesha Glover Patel, (Kalpesh), Crest Hill, IL., Seneca Pierson Zmich, (Rob), Sandy Springs, GA., Nephews: Alex Glover, Seattle, Washington, Terrance Glover, Terrez Glover, Davenport, IA. , Chris Pierson, Robert E. Pierson, Jr., and Reginald Pierson, Dothan. Sister-law: Ilene “Tina” Pierson, Dothan. She also leaves some special cousins Gary Thornton Griffin (Renay), Blonzell Byrd and Mary Helen Noble, and a host of other relatives and friends. Special Friends: Betty Floyd, Lasha Morris, Karen Morris, and Marige Fryer. Very Special Thanks to the team at Wesley Place: Nurses: Peggy, Rebecca, Niki, Ashley, Angela.
