Eddie Wilson Allen

Mr. Eddie Allen, age 69, of Dothan, Alabama; formerly of Columbia, Alabama, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2 PM at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, Alabama.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Eddie Wilson Allen was born November 7, 1949 in Columbia, Alabama to Rosie B. Allen and Wilson Allen.  He departed this life on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Southeast Health surrounded by loved ones.  He was 69 years old.

He married Gloria Dean Daniels on July 5, 1969.  Together, they had 3 beautiful daughters.

He was the Head Deacon at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church for 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memory a wife: Gloria Allen; daughters: Tina Allen, Palisha Allen and Lishell Allen; a special son: Don McCree; three beloved grandchildren: Kambrynn and Kayden Bone (Palisha) and Jaydon McCree (Lishell) who will honor and cherish his memory; nine siblings: Mattie Barber, Clemmie Lee, Jerome Allen, Jean (Bruce) McNealy, Leon Allen, Marvin Allen, Melvin (Martha) Allen, Robert Rogers and Eleanor Barber; one aunt: Mammie James; two special friends: Joe (Edna) Brantley and David Holt; a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
