Dianne Franklin

Mrs. Dianne Franklin, age 66, of Union Springs passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the House of Light Church in Union Springs, AL.
 

Dianne Thornton Franklin was born in Union Springs, AL to Willie Grace Thornton Tolbert and the late Raymond Youngblood on March 8, 1953.   
 

She accepted Jesus Christ in August 2007 and became a member of the House of Light Church.  
 

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Lee Franklin to this union six children were born which one preceded her in death, Lillie Franklin.  
 

Dianne departed this life on September 10, 2019 in Montgomery, AL at Baptist South Hospital.  
 

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Franklin; her sister: Vernice Y. Tolbert; three brothers: Willie E (Georgie) Thornton, Ellis Youngblood and Vernon Youngblood; and a sister-in-law: Georgie Thornton. 
 

Dianne leaves to cherish her many memories her mother: Willie Grace Tolbert; five children: Sandra Franklin, Karla McKinnes, Joyce (Willie Charles) Patterson, Robbin Franklin and Terrence Franklin all of Union Springs, AL; nine grandchildren: Shaquandra Franklin, Justin Patterson, Laquandra Parker, Denzel Patterson, LaManuel Franklin, TeQuarius McKinnes, Tavion Franklin, Reese Holmes and Ariane Franklin; four great grandchildren: Jamarcus Franklin, Jaylee Smith, Zeriah Patterson, and Ja’Caiden Franklin; five sisters: Ruby (Kennon) Tuck, Montgomery, AL,  Abbie Thornton, Charlotte, NC  Alice (Henry) Williams and  Loris Thornton, Montgomery, AL, and Zenard (Tony) Fisher, Fayetteville, NC; eight brothers: Willie (Helen) Goodwin, Columbus, GA, Curtis Thornton, Tuskegee, AL,  Lysander Thornton, Montgomery, AL, Omer (Jesse) Youngblood, Oliver Youngblood, Webster (Annie Lois) Youngblood, Raymond Youngblood, Jr., and Michael Youngblood all of Union Springs, AL; two sisters-in-law, Vera Franklin and Catherine Franklin, Orlando, FL; five brothers-in-law: Sylvester (Valler) Franklin, and Gene (Virginia) Franklin of Orlando, FL, Richard (Margaret) Franklin, Robert (Gloria) Tarver of Union Springs, AL, and Steve (Sandy) Franklin of Minnesota; a special friend: John Faniel, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
