Brenda Joyce Lee

Ms. Brenda Lee, age 63, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019.

Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2019 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Dothan Community Church.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Sister Brenda Joyce Lee was born on February 19, 1956 to the late Oscar Lee, Sr. and Sallie Wade Lee.  She was raised in Capps, AL and after graduating from Abbeville High School, in 1975, she moved to Dothan, AL where she resided.  She was called home to be with her ethernal father on December 8, 2019 at Southeast Health after a brief illness.

Joyce, as her family and friends called her, started working at Morrison Cafeteria after high school.  She was employed at Sony for 33 years before retiring due to health issues.

Joyce found th Lord at an early age, joining Rocky Mt. Baptist Church, then serving at New Bethel Baptist Church, finally being a devoted and faithful member at Dothan Community Church.

Joyce was preceded in death by one brother: Willie Fred Lee; and three sisters: Lennette Martin, Ruby Thomas, and Yvonne Reynolds.

Joyce leaves to cherish her fondest memories her son: Erick Lee (Special); four grandchildren, whom she called her crumb crushers: Makayla Rodgers, Erick, Jr. , Cameron and Kamyah Lee; siblings: James (Rosa) Lee, Otis (Alberta) Lee, Lottie Benson, Oscar Lee, Jr., Annie Lee, and Betty Lee; nieces and nephews: Linda Kincey, Vicki Jones, Jeremiah (J.J.) Reynolds, Kevin Reynolds, Lucinda Ware, Kenyetta Reynolds (Clarence), Tehran Reynolds, Brad Reynolds, Kendall Johnson (Jennifer), Brittney Key, and Tevin Brown.

Joyce was the Godmother of Brenaye Snell, Wendall Wooten, and Jawalski Thomas; special friends: Doris Flournoy and Geneva Cull; brother-in-law: Robert Thomas; three special neighbors: Mr. and Mrs. Will Newman, Edna Neal, and Mrs. Chambers and a host of other relatives and friends.
