Birleta U Moore

Mrs. BU (Birleta) Skipper Moore was born to parents Mr. Clyde and Maggie Skipper on April 15, 1931.
 
She joined Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She went through twelve years of schooling in Henry County and went to attend Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama where she majored in Education. 

On December 30, 1953 she got married to Mr. Joseph Moore, Jr. from Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. BU was a faithful worker in the church playing the piano and organ for countless churches in the Southeast Alabama area.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clyde and Maggie Skipper; her husband: Mr. Joseph Moore, Jr.; daughter: Felicia A. Anderson; two sons: Kenneth L. Moore and Alvin V. Moore.

The Lord called her home on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Extendicare Facility in Dothan, Alabama surrounded by her love ones. 

She leaves behind beloved four daughters: Angenette (Dr. George) Hogan of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Sherita G. Moore of Caryville, Florida, Cassandra J. Ward of Headland, Alabama and Mirandra Y. Williams of Newville, Alabama; special granddaughter: Katrina S. Moore of Headland, Alabama; three sisters: Beatrice Brantley of Dothan, Alabama, Eunice Floyd and Merler Mae Davis of Dothan, Alabama; two brothers: Jerome (Jewel) Skipper of Enterprise, Alabama and Napoleon Skipper of Dothan, Alabama; a host of grandchildren, great-great grand's, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
