Bennie Manuel Ingram, Sr. was born on October 21, 1934 in Henry County, Alabama to the late Robert Ingram and the late Willa (Kynes) Ingram. He was the sixth of thirteen children.
Bennie was called home on October 8, 2018 after a long illness at Southeast Health.
Bennie worked for Howell Plywood Company where he was a hard and loyal worker for 49 years. Bennie and Willie B. were united in Holy Matrimony in Dothan, Alabama on May 26, 1962. He later joined North Highland Baptist Church and served as a deacon. Bennie loved playing dominoes. He enjoyed life and life enjoyed him.
Bennie was preceded in death by his father and mother and ten siblings; baby boy: Rossie Lee, Tony O'Neal, Robert, Jr., Annie Maude, Willa Dean, Blondell, John Ellis, Pearlie B. and Maxine.
Bennie leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Willie B. Ingram, four children: two daughters: Cynthia (Jessie) Chambers and Eleanor (Isaac) Ingram Jones, two sons: Dan L. Kelley and Bennie (Pamela) M. Ingram, Jr.; eight grandchildren: Ateesha (Toussaint) Lacoste, Calea Jackson, Jameil Chambers, Caira Chambers, Jalessa Swain, Mingkel Ingram, Miekah Ingram and Mykel Ingram; two great grandsons: Lucas and Elijah Lacoste; two sisters: Jean (Donald) Mizell and Ruby Lee Jackson; three special nieces: Willa JEan Ingram, Patricia A. Roberts and Barbara A. McKenzie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
