Artilus May Davis

Ms. Artilus May Davis, age 74 of Newville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Ms. Artilus May Davis, daughter of the late Archie W. May and Vera Spinks May, was a native and lifelong resident of Newville, Alabama.  She was a 32 year employee of West Point Stevens until her retirement in 2005.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lookwell Chapter #219. 

Ms. Davis had a loving, sweet spirit and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving relatives include Stanley Carl (Brenda) Davis of Dothan, Alabama, Terry Lamar Davis of Webb, Alabama; a daughter: Emily Denise (Anthony) Keith of Dothan, Alabama; two brothers: James May of Melbourne, Florida, Robert (Evelyn) May, Sr. of Columbus, Georgia; four sisters: Bernestine Holloway of Patterson, New Jersey, twin sister: Omelus Culver of Atlanta, Georgia, Velma McNear of Montgomery, Alabama and Elma Day of Newark, New Jersey; three sisters-in-law: Pinkie May of Newville, Alabama, Mary Jewell May of Atlanta, Georgia and Mary E. May of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren:Andrevis Davis and Andrea Davis of Headland, Alabama, Brittany (Marco) Campbell, Tiffany Lashay Davis, Jaylan JB Branson Reynolds and Peyton Jazelle Keith all of Dothan, Alabama; two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
