Ms. Annie Turner, age 60, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Peter Community Church.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Sardis Cemetery.
On January 24, 1959, R.Q. and Mabelene Johnson gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Annie Martha Johnson.
Annie attended school at Ashford High School and Wicksburg High School.
Later in life she met and married the late Danny Turner Sr and they were given two special gifts in becoming parents to Danny Jr. & Andrew Turner.
Annie had a heart of gold. She was always willing and ready to give a helping hand to anyone she met. Throughout life she touched many lives with her smile and soothing spirit.
Annie worked at Purdue Farms for over 20 years before a medical retirement. She was a very family oriented lady. The love for her brothers and sisters showed not only by her speaking but more so by her actions.
Later in life, Annie met a wonderful man by the name of Jackie Hodge, which she married. Jackie Hodge was proven not to only be a great husband but also a great father and grandfather as well, even unto this present day.
Annie joined St. Peter's Community Church where she served as a usher and housekeeper faithfully up until her passing away.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter, Alexus Shantel Turner, brothers Willie Howard Pugh, James and Jamel Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two sons and one daughter Danny Turner Jr. (Kiesha), Andrew B Turner ( Tequila) and Michelle Jackson; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, eleven sisters, five brothers; one living aunt and uncle, Celia Smith and Cicero Pugh Jr., both of Dothan, Al.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Mavis Walker, and a host of other relatives and friends
