Obituary for Larry Nathan Scott

Larry Nathan Scott “Papa T.” was born in Dothan, Alabama on February 19, 1970 to the late Vera Mae Jordan. He was later adopted by his parents, chief and Vera Scott who also preceded him in death.

Larry joined North Highland Baptist Church at a very early age where he was an active and faithful member that committed himself to multiple programs within the church. He excelled as an outstanding Cadet in the R.O.T.C. program at Northview High School where he also obtained his high school diploma.

Larry later served his country as combat soldier at Panama Canal and Dessert Storm. Larry later exited the military with honors and was deemed a disabled veteran. Larry was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson: Mason Johnson and a uncle: Nathaniel Jordan..

Larry leaves to cherish his memories one son: Tywon Snell and twin girls: Sierra Scott and Kierra (Cornell) Scott; Larry also leaves to cherish his grandchildren, whom he adored: Traytone Snell, T’Aissjah Reeves, Kennedy and Giovonni Grimsley, Kadence, Oliva, and Gabrielle Johnson; Larry also leaves to cherish a best friend: Lonnie Jones, special uncles: James White, Derry White and Willie Trawick; two special cousins he loved as sisters: Betty White, Hazel Davidson and Inez Jackson; a special friend: Annie White and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
